to run 1.50 homebrew, need to switch to 1.50 homebrew kernel at recovery menu (by holding R at boot time, then go to configuration)

running a ftpd is convenient for file transfer.

There are too many exciting news for PSP homebrew. The most interesting thing is that you can emulate perfectly the 2.50~2.71 firmware on a 1.50 PSP. So you can use the cool web browser with Flash support, that's so cool.

Homebrew for wirelessly streaming your MP3 music: the recent release of PSPRadio has a ported version of the browser called Links2. So if you can first create a ShoutCast server, then run the WAWI server from your PC at the same time, then you can control the play, add files into the playlist from your PSP, and even download the MP3 file. PSPRadio alone or Links2 alone is very good app, but combining them two will be even more powerful.

SONY released a 2.70 firmware update on PSP. It is good to have some fancy functions. But people in the dev community are not happy because even GTA exploit has been blocked in the new update. Some people are thinking using the newly-added picture feature for the music albums to have some new exploit.

So from today's SONY PlayStation briefing, we learnt that there will be tons of software and firmaware updates coming, including GPS support, a USB camera. Moreover, they will allow you to download and play games on the Memory Stick. They will also provide a official PlayStation Emulator on PSP.

BTW, PS3 is delayed to November.

Recently I tried two cool WiFi app on PSP, WebNab is for RSS feeds and PSPRadio is for ShoutCast streaming music, both worked very well.

Recently, MPH Game Loader enable us to prefectly run games including GTA and on 1.5 f/w, those games requires a 2.0 f/w before. Also you need is MPH game loader and an ISO of the game.

Add some pictures of PSP. I was busy with Prince of Persia: Revelation. In the walkthrough, the guy used "holy crap" for a million times just because of too much emphasis on action.

Brightness Level 4 is bright!- but we need the power adapter plugged to keep it. The problem is obvious - we can't drag the damn power cord everywhere.

The problem is over now. We are glad to share a very handy method for keeping your PSP locked on Level 4 Brightness, without any messy process.

Got a 2.0GB Memory Stick DUO. It's so good though expensive. Now I can have lots of music and movies on my PSP. Addionally, I can have more ISOs, which means I will have more games at the same time. I am now launching the ISOs with Fastloader. Very simple operation, and remember to keep a UMD disc of any content (e.g. the demo disc) in your drive.

I am using CNReader2.0 to read books in plain text format on PSP. The interface is beautiful, and it support UNICODE very well. And it's amazing that you can choose to read horizontally or vertically. The cool thing is that you can play MP3 music while reading. I also tried a PDF reader, it worked but not stable.

Downloaded UMD Emulator, tested ISO file of a GO game's JP version.

I have tried to connect to Internet using PSP but failed. My access point at home is built by Cable Modem and a Linksys Wireless Router. And I have set the router to work in B-G mixed mode and using the Channel 11. After several attempts, I gave up. So the only way to upgrade the firmware is to download the upgrade pack with a PC. Then I have the 2.0 upgrade. It has a built-in web browser but I cannot test it. And you can also have customized wallpaper and theme. More interesting thing is that it now supports WPA-PSK(TKIP). After playing with 2.0 for a while, I started to downgrade the firmware. Use the "downgrader - n00b's pack", really easy. Welcome to the world of 1.50! I tested some "homwbrew" games and software, all worked very nice.

Bought a SONY PSP 1001K with firmware ver1.52. In the so-called "value pack", you will find a earplug and a joke of 32M Memory Stick DUO. Well, they also provided a "soft cloth" for you to clean the vulnerable and gorgeous 4.3 TFT screen. As a conclusion, everything made by SONY is a nice toy.
